My current body of work uses the shapes and textures of sand and water to represent memory traces. This photograph posits the theory that we all carry collective DNA or genetic memory traces from our ancestors that enable us to connect with them, their traditions and their spirit force. I have used sand patterns to represent strands of DNA that morph into people, past and present, clasped together in a circle of unity.
