My artwork is a inspiration from the Pacific Ocean creatures , using their decorative pattern in my art work. In the back ground of the work I use the connection/location where the shell belongs. The whole concept is made in the traditional tapa shape used by the island people. The Pacific tapa symbolises the life and culture of the people on the island(s). The difference in my tapa concept is that it belongs in the first place to the Ocean and to the Pacific Islands, like a Tapa Moana. The whole intention is in fact to show the beauty of the Pacific and all its life to be preserved into the future for coming generations.
